Al‑Anon Family Groups are a fellowship of relatives and friends of alcoholics who share their experiences, strength, and hope in order to find a solution to their common problem. We believe that alcoholism runs in the family, and that a change in attitude can aid recovery.
Al‑Anon is not allied with any sect or religion, political entity, organization or institution; does not take part in controversies; it does not support or fight any cause. There is no fee to become a member. Al‑Anon remains
itself through the voluntary contributions of its members.
At Al‑Anon we have one purpose: to help families of alcoholics. We do this by practicing the Twelve Steps, by welcoming and comforting families of alcoholics, and by understanding and encouraging the alcoholic.
